Border Patrol Stories

Confined for the Rest of the Weekend
A trainee was at a Glynco bar alone on a Saturday night watching a ball game...  There were some "townies" in the place that objected to his presence, so he decided to leave to avoid trouble.    Out in the parking lot he got jumped and badly beaten by about 4 of the guys from the bar.  He got a taxi to FLETC and when he got back a number of his classmates were annoyed at what had happened, piled into another taxi and returned to the bar.

For some unknown reason, a heated discussion ensued in said parking lot between the townies and the trainees, that revolved around the lack of hospitality shown the solo trainee during his visit to the bar.

The discussion was terminated by a large police response and the decision by some of the townies to seek medical attention.  The police were familiar with the townies involved, and the townie debating society didn't want it to be know that they had lost to a visiting team, so the Police piled the trainees into some cop cars and took them back to FLETC, where a very angry Chief De La Vina was waiting for them.  By this time it was about 2AM Sunday Morning.

Chief De La Vina had the sorry lot stand at attention while he loudly chastised them for their lack of professionalism, judgement, etc., etc. At the end of it he told them that as their punishment for their egregious conduct, they were be confined to the base for the rest of the weekend.  No exceptions.  Seeing the confusion on their faces, Chief De La Vina, this time with a twinkle in his eye, growled, "What part of confined to base for the rest of the weekend don't you understand!?!"

Then he sent them off to bed.
