Upholding Honor First

An organization’s awards system often reflects its values. The U.S. Border Patrol's Honorary Awards, demonstrates that the Patrol values the following:
  • Administrative accomplishments
  • Acts of heroism and valor
  • Law enforcement actions
  • Lifesavings actions

Of course, that list does not include all actions by which a USBP employee may receive recognition for upholding an organizational value. Many times an employee may receive a performance award (cash), a time-off award, a non-traditional award or receive a recognition of prestige such as an Employee of the Month.

The links below highlight instances where USBP employees have received recognition for performing acts of heroism or otherwise exceeding expectation in the performance of their duties.  These are true examples of what it means to live by Honor First!
Newton-Azrak Award Recipients
Purple Cross Award Recipients
USBP Commendation Award Recipients
USBP Achievement Award Recipients
